Advice / Recommendation
Discussion
For new-born babies, there's nothing better than a simple, fast 50mm f1.4 (or f1.8) lens. But I guess you are not looking for a DSLR, so I'm not sure what to recommend. But do get a camera with large aperture and good high ISO performance as I'm not comfortable using a flash on a new-born baby.
Many congrats, btw!
