Adding date to emailed pics
Discussion
Question, does anyone know how to add the date to an emailed photograph.
When stored on the PC, and I click over a picture, it shows which camera took it and date/time.
But when this pic is sent as an email, it doesnt show this information at the other end, is there anyway to include this information when emailing pictures?
Tks.

What you're referring to is EXIF information. It's embedded in the file, so it won't disappear unless you open it and re-save it without it (which Photoshop does with it's Save For Web process, annoyingly).
When you say you can't see it after it's been emailed, do you mean within the email program? Or have you actaully saved the attachment and then viewed that separately? The reason I ask is I don't know of any email program that supports EXIF for attachments, so it wouldn't show up within the email anyway. But it's still there.
That was as clear as mud, wasn't it.

Tks for that, yes it does make sense that, been playing since I sent that, it seems that a single photo does not transmit the data with it, but a zipped file does, still playing at it, very frustrating.
Of course when I actually convince myself zipped files does actually transmit all data, all should be fine. Back to the keyboard.

Well further trial and error, it seems that if you attach a pic to an email, not zipped, when you open it up again the other end, then transfer it into a file, open the file, go to the view logo, and it will show the data with the pic.
That hurt the little grey cells. I am sure there is other ways of doing this as well, but to a simple chappie to me, this works fine.
