Steve mate, that's brilliant!
Those suction mounts give me palpitations that all my kit will fall off onto the pavement! What speed was that at?
My thoughts exactly on both counts. I like the shot, but I'd be terrified of losing the camera off the back! Those suction mounts give me palpitations that all my kit will fall off onto the pavement! What speed was that at?
What sort of price range are we talking about for a good one by the way? The mount that is, not the Gallardo.

what rig did you get then?...B hauge?
get yer rig out for the lads!
B-Hague, yes + some extra's to make it more versatile. The suction pads are superb - very rigid.what rig did you get then?...B hauge?

The shot:
About 5mph @ 1sec / iso200 F4
Infra red remote shutter release - my right hand is clicking away!

have you seen these rigs mate?

i'm having a rig fabricated at the moment, was looking for some design ideas on the net and came across the above....
I used to have the B hauge basic set-up what add-ons have you gone for?...i found it was hard to get far enough away from the car. finding nice composttions was a struggle....like what you've done there tho.
here's my efforts:

was allways compromising the composition because of the rigs limitations.

here's my efforts with the b hauge:

was allways compromising the composition because of the rigs limitations so i've decided to make my own with a 3M box section boom arm :-)

The move'n shoot stuff is epic, hugely expensive and requires a team to make it happen.... one day!
There are plenty interesting compositions than needn't be taken a long way from the car, for others its just a case of making sure the arms are long enough and you've mounted in a way that gives sufficient rigidity, e.g:

I never 'finished' that shot off because using f4 threw the rear too much out of focus & more to the point a car came up the road just as I was setting up to take the non-rig clone source shot
So far I'm happy the B-Hague is the way to go (and I know a lot of pro's use this rig, as does our resident celebrity snapper Matt Watkinson) it just takes a bit of forethought to get the shot you want.
