Anyone else find themselves taking random pictures when lazing around the house??? Today I was trying to get the last few shots from my Fuji S6500D as the wife thought it was the kat lying at te bottom of the bed last night and kicked it off - however it was my camera... nice.

Now the thing is knackered and is jammed on one setting - classic!

And the moral of the story is… don’t leave your camera on the bottom of the bed over night as it will almost certainly be on the floor in the morning wink

Nice candids. I like ramdom shots around the house, well anywhere, too.

Try some multi exposure stuff if you're bored at home, always good for a laugh.

I'm gonna do one like that, nice idea. My wife tells me I don't do enough cleaning. A shot like that would prove that's not true!

So much potential for amusement with shots like these - I think we should all have a go and post the results.

With a tripod, some thought, 3 separate shots and some time in Photoshop, merging them together biggrin

As FG said, you need a tripod, ideally a flashgun if indoors (pop up flash would cause quite a few shadows which make merging the shots a little harder).

I took a meter reading of the scene then flicked it on to manual mode and put the same settings in so that each of the 3 shots was taken at precisely the same exposure, again to make the 3 shots easier to merge later. Then thought about seating positions etc, and hit the timer button and sat down, repeated that for the other two positions.

Open up the images in photoshop and establish one of them as your background (to then drop the other two 'people' on to). Take one of the other images and roughly select the person (doesn't have to be accurate) and paste them on to your background. Move them into position and then gradually erase the edges of the area you pasted in, just to soften the edge lines a little (this will reveal the background in your base layer). Repeat with the third shot.

It's only the first one I've done, but I do think that making sure the exposure on all of your shots is the same to start with makes it easier to merge them. In fact that shot was a doddle.

You can make it harder for yourself by having the people overlapping, but it's a lot easier if they don't!

If you're going to do multiple exposures you should at least add a little variety by changing clothes etc wink

But, yep, cracking photos, Hawkaye - some great still life shots there. Great use of light on the Gorillaz, particularly.
