Maybe a good tip or not...

Was in Tesco's last night and noticed their own brand premium glossy paper - £10 for 50 sheets. I figured at the price/quantity was worth a punt.

I shall only be buying it from now on. No difference at all to some of the more premium named paper and only 10 quid for 50 sheets.

I'm sure costco own brand A4 255gsm glossy is about 12quid for 150 sheets, it's not supposed to be rubbish either.

alas costco is about 40 miles away but I might give it a try too at that price.

I'll check the weight out tomorrow but its at least 225.

I popped into Costco today and bought two packs of their 'Kirkland Signature' paper as described above.

I've found it to be ok when printing with my HP B9180, though I'm not much a fan of glossy paper.

Thanks for the heads up smile

your printer may not lay down as much ink as mine (R2400)

Another vote here for the CostCo 'Kirkland' paper.

Works really nicely with my Canon Pixma ip4200. The Kirkland stuff is available in A4 and 6x4 sizes.

Costco used to also sell Kodak Ultima paper at 7x5 but it really does not agree with my printer. I don't know if they still sell the Kodak paper though.

By the way, there are rumblings that this paper may well be a re-badged Ilford paper: http://www.swpp.co.uk/professional_imagemaker/pape... (scroll to the bottom)
