just wondered what different ways you guys present your work other than online?

do you have themed albumes, maybe photobooks now?

For viewings i have found the nintendo wii phtoo channel, and a big tv, cosy sofa, glass of wine and some selective lighting is absolutly fantastic. so much better than just giving customers a cd, or a handfull of proofs.

just thought id open it up and see peoples thoughts, whats worked and what hasnt?

I've got the same as Scho and just change the contents according to clients. The only tip I would give is that you talk and shuffle through the prints yourself. I made the mistake of allowing one to do it herself and was cringing as she buckled two or three prints. Added to this was the fact that I later discovered she hadn't washed her hands after breakfast and I had greasy croissant fingers over all the sleeves. I've only shown this folio to about three clients. Most of my work comes through my website and direct mailing. Sometimes I compile a CD of relevant images if tendering for a specific contract. I have also used my laptop to present work.

I like your idea of the television and glass of wine presentation. Most of my clients are commercial so this wouldn't do for me. It would be rather pleasant and civilised though smile

Keep it simple, keep it relevant and keep it up-to-date!

most of my work involves either family portraits, couples or weddings. Means i can add that personal touch, add their wedding song to play over the slideshow etc. little things influence the whole 'experience' meaning more sales. I was so impressed when i went to venture (purely for research) about their presentation, i felt it could be re created without the cost and pressure.

havent really got inolved in commercial, partly due to time, adn also not having a clue where to start, what or how to charge etc.
