Hi all, I have been given an old JVC video camers (model GZ-MC100) Im just struggling to get the video off it onto my pc. I have a memory stick reader/ sd card etc but all it can do is pick the pictures taken on it. it finds files relating to the videos but they are .MOD files (normally sound only) and camera is supposed to record in mpeg 2? I also have a USB cable to connect camera to pc but as soon as I plug it in it says on the camera screen USB mass storage and thats that, can anyone help me? do I need certain software is there anything else I am missing, or shall i just go and buy a proper Sony one?

I take it this is a totaly sd based camera, not a miniDV one that used an SD card to store stills.
- Not sure what to suggest, should be able to ge the manual off the web which might help.
- I quite like jvc's have both our last two minidv cameras where from them. Dont like sony.
