Printing a photo in black and white

Very basis question, but the wife wants to print some digital photos we have in black and white. Can anyone recommend a (preferrably free) application i can download to do this. Thanks.

Guessing the best free application would be GIMP

In this screenshot it shows a channel mixer with a monochrome option. Should give you a bit of latitude in the style of B+W images.
(also mentioned in the 2nd entry of the features page)


I've not used it in ages though, not sure on the specifics

Unless you want to do anything fancy you cant go wrogn with googles Picasa.

has lots of easy photo editing options and is a cracking bit of software.
