Fujifilm FinePix S5700
Discussion
Hello Mrs Killer here
I know you lot are the font of all knowledge (so Killer tells me) so I'm after a bit of advice on the Fujifilm FinePix S5700.
I studied photography up to HND level and I'm finally going digital. I've read reviews of this camera, all of which are good, but I was wondering if any of you had one or could suggest a better alternative for up to £150.
Thanks in advance,
Mrs K

how about the fujifilm s6000fd. Has received excellent reviews. I bought one from amazon for £149 a few weeks ago, an excellent camera..was thinking about getting the s8000fd but the reviews suggest that the s6500 although a slightly older model is the better choice. See the amazon website for sample photos.
I still have a S5600, which was my first 'proper' camera (non DSLR, but it helped in learning the technical side of things). If the S5700 is anything like the previous model, I'd highly recommend it - the only downside being it may guzzle battery juice.
It does however fill the void between a POS and a DSLR IMO.

Quick question about the new Fuji cameras - how do you charge them?
With my old Fuji (F70 I think), the only way of charging it is through a special adaptor that also is the computer connection, rather than a straight USB connector.
Is it still the same? It's one of the only downsides to my camera.

glad you like it, I have been very impressed with my S6500, still getting used to all the controls at the moment. Feel free to podt some pictures up once you've had a play
See my entry in the photo comp for a first effort on my new camera Just using rechargable batteries for it
Mrs Killer2005 now is a PH'er
