Hi there,

I've got a couple of really nice photos of my car that i want to play about with in photoshop, but i was just wondering if anyone knows a good tutorial (or can tell me) how i can remove the light from the headlights?

They were on when the photo was taken, and they really spoil it.

it's a similar photo to this, but with more glare from the lights:

Any help or tips would be much apreciated!

Thanks

find a photo of the same car (or take another shot of yours) with the headlights off and replace the front!

I don't think it looks to bad.

But I think the easiest way is to take a picture of the same car without the lights on, then just clone it onto headlights area on the original picture.

EDIT: BEATEN!! blabla

Cheers guys, that's actually what i'm trying at the moment with it.

Its a different photo from the one above, (doing it on a mac) but i've not got it on this computer to show you.

How did you do the one above? Did you just find another Golf photo and past the headlights from that one onto mine?

Thanks very much!

Yeah i thought about taking the arial out, but left it as its part of the car...

The fog light isn't right, but it was more just to practice the technique. I think i should have done the 'transform - skew' move on the right hand side of the grill as it seems to be a little smaller than the left side.

Oh well, practice makes perfect!

Would darken out the grinning idiots in the cabin too wink and close the sunroof.

(car mags often obscure the drivers with shadow in post production - unless you really want yourselves in it?)
