I have an eos350D and wondered how regular you should have it serviced? Do you need to have lenses serviced also?

The reason I ask is that my body, when tipped upside down and back again, makes a noise, like something falling from one end of the body to the other. It doesn't rattle through the whole movement of turning the body upside down, it makes a single 'knock' noise, like something is loose, not fallen off. It seems to work fine (although I think all pics seem a little soft of late). Hope it makes sense.

I live in Nottmshire and wondered where the best place would be to take it for a service and roughly how much a service costs.

I've had it nearly 2 years.

Thanks,
Scott

Almost certain that is just the flash pop-up mechanism - mine rattles a little when you turn the camera over.

If the noise is from the top of the camera (viewfinder area) it's probably the orientation sensor that tells the camera if it's in landscape or portrait "mode". Nothing to worry about.

As for camera & lens servicing there's a simple answer. Send them in if they stop working properly smile

If anything stops working properly, it'll probably be me biggrin

Thanks for the reassurance. So there's no requirement to take equipment in every year or 2 then, despite what manufacturers have you believe?

Thanks,
scott
