Just playing with a couple of pics I took. Wondered if anyone liked the effect:
No, really don't like it. It reduces the contrast to near zero and makes them quite hard on the eye. The original pics look fine from what I can see! Sometimes the more over the top effects work well, like Martin's or this:-
I really liked them during the time it took for those huge images to load,
I was effectively watching tight close-ups with a great pointilliste effect;
but when eventually the loading process had finished and I could see the whole of each image on my smallish screen; I was 'disappointed' ?

Thanks for the C&C, peeps. I appreciate it in all forms, pos and neg. If I think I'm doing it OK but no-one likes them then I need to re-adjust my methods a bit
I think I was trying to emphasize the sketch too much as a bit more colour does look better, IMO.
Sorry (for those still on dial up) about the time to load the images. I thought I had posted the 'smaller' files. I'll resize them.
Thanks,
Scott

bump - I'm interested on people's opinions on this one
Hhhmmm not sure about it to be honest. Makes the car a bit cardboard cut out looking. I think it still needs to be integrated into the scene more to stop it looking 'cut out and stuck on a background'.Now if you'd sorted out the peoples reflections on the bonnet

You could resize them so that they don't take three days to open on here!!
