Don't know about CS3, but in the earlier version of PS that I use, I was always advised to make sure that the Bicubic option is selected when re-sizing to maintain image quality as far as possible.

You can also set Bicubic sharper as the default under Preferences

I have an older version of photoshop also smile

I'd be a bit surprised if Bicubic wasn't the default resampler in CS3 (unless its got some new whizz-bang option wink)

Much of the artefacting in those images looks like jpg compression to me - especially in the red areas.

There does seem to be some aliasing along some of the finer details, i'd check to see if you are sharpening before the resize.
IMO some sharpening is ok but 'final' sharpening should be left until the image has been resized. i.e. Try not 'final' sharpen the image twice.

Cheers.

Whenyou say struggling? Whats wrong with them and how do you resize them?
You get the option to change the image or canvas size... and then it gives you a quality scale to save on, 12 good 1 bad..
or am i up the creek without a paddle?
