Not car pics but bikes for a change!
Discussion
Yamaha British superbike team were up at Knockhill today in fantastic weather doing some testing. Was getting to grips with my new kit before the new race season starts in anger a week on sunday.
Any criticism is more than welcome...I think!

Was trying to get a shot of the dash but the damn brake fluid reservior got in the way! What do you think the 70 is? He was prob doing about 70 kmh when the pic was taken but its not normal for race bikes to have speedos.

Awesome shots
1 + 2 especially
These with your 300mm f4 ?
Wish i'd have known it was on, would like to try shooting bikes sometime
Cheers.
Most of them were with the 300mm, got an 80 - 200 f2.8 as well now which replaced my 70 - 200 VR which I thought was crap for motorsport pics.

I prefer taking pics of bikes rather than cars to be honest, more action! Standing on the edge of the kerb on the inside of the hairpin when 20 bikes are coming towards you at race speed fairly gets the adrenaline pumping!!

think you may have scratched the inside of my monitor!! they are bloody sharp mate, very impressed!! whats the secret?
No secrets! just decent kit, steady hand, quick trigger finger and a good eye!
Funny thing is, I had an opticians appointment this afternoon straight after being at the circuit and found out that my contact lens prescription is wrong!
So having wonky eyes must help!

Cracking pics!
How do you find out about the testing days? Never anything on the Knockhill website, would think they'd be better days for pics, not so many spectators getting in the way!
The testing dates are sometimes a private affair, teams not wanting others to see how/what they are doing. They are usually pretty boring with a lot of time when nothing is on track while the teams are tweaking or altering set-ups etc.How do you find out about the testing days? There is a big test which I wont disclose coming up but photographers are banned completely, even us and we do a lot of work for Knockhill.
