I fancy getting some in-car video while at the 'ring this weekend. I was looking at camcorders and mounts, which seemed like the obvious solution. However, it struck me as preferable to store straight to a digital format, as I'd be viewing the footage on my laptop (so only looking for "decent" quality recording). I then took this line of thought a step further and wondered if I could use my old PC laptop and record straight to that, with some sort of "bullet cam" fitted. I then took this to where I am now - why not record straight to my Macbook, as I believe that should be more suitable than the PC laptop.

Which leads me to a few questions; is this potentially a good idea? Is there a plug-in decent quality camera available? What software will I need (I'm new to macs - do I already have it (Leopard))? Is a Macbook up to it?

Your comments would be much appreciated.
