Nice photo - but even better with a good dose of cropping IMHO

framed by a nine year old (seriously, my nephew took it)

i think he did a good job tho, the space dead space emphasizes the scale of the kitten?

what do we think PH?

Well it's very subjective of course but I had more like this is mind:

Talented nephew though! (and to be fair had he spent time recomposing, the shot might have been lost)

Phil and I are currently having the Dog v Cat debate, got a feeling that we'll end up with neither though frown . Pity as they both make great subjects and I'm jealous of Martin's Mum - I particularly like Collies as they're so intelligent.

Oh and my initial thought was that the photo needed a bit of a crop, but now I'm not so sure as the hand seems to dominate the cropped version.

1) That your nephew had it right. On the medium crop, your hand is distracting. On the close crop, the kitty's vulnerability is lost.

2) That is one sexy watch strap.

That is such a good photo, I would remove it from this site before H*ymarket
