slide scanner things
Discussion
i want to put all my fathers old 35mm slides into a digital format and have seen these slide scanner things whcih look like they will do the job well enough.
the thing is i have no idea what they are like and how good an image they produce. some of the images may well be good enough for publication so it would be good to have them in a high quality.
can anyone recommend a good slide scanner, what do i need to look for?!

I use an epson of some sort or another which has all the 35mm slide film and medium format adaptors. I tend to just sellotape my film straight to the glass though, much quicker!
edit to add - detail wise a high quality scan will give you something like 45 megapixels to play with. Full quality at maximum resolution is higher still.
