Dunno what the going rate is but maybe eBay can act as a guide. My mate's just offered me his for £250 - I think I'd better go snap his hand off biggrin (no warranty though, but I know where its been!)

I have so many questions but cant seem to find the answers?!

Who is the target market for the 20d? Amateurs, professionals? semi-professionals?
Is the camera actually good?
Pro's?
Con's?

Should i get it! Ahhhhhh

im at the point where if somebody says get it then i will! so be careful what you say wink

Its a great camera, very functional, fast to store the images. Shoot in RAW and you can spend ages manipulating shots smile

The more you spend, the more you get. There's no limit to it. So you have to think 'What do I want to do that a 40D will do but a 20D doesn't?'

Only you know the answer. But I suspect that not many DSLRs are used to full potential, obvious limiting factors being the user and lenses. And if I recall your post wondering what the focal length in mm meant, well, that may be your answer wink

Nowt wrong with the 10D either, if I'm correct the 10 was the last to use an alloy shell, as opposed to plastic thats used on the newer models. The old 10 was almost bomb proof, I've had mine for years, although its now only used once in a blue moon.

Oddly enough I did my first commercial job with a 10D! I had a Nikon D70 on order but there was a waiting list, so a kind friend lent me their 10D.

Its £499 for a 40D so £300 for a 20D seems expensive...
