Went up to the highlands a few days ago, didnt take many pics but thought these three were alright. Not sure if the HDR is overdone or not.

Any Comments welcome.

Very nice! Number 2 is the only one that screamed HDR at me though.

1. looks like it's up the Rest and be thankful.
3. Looks like Falls of Falloch.

I like number 3. The post spoils number 2 for me.

your right about the locations. I liked the post in number 2, Not sure why, but i decided to leave it in rather than crop it out.

Gorgeous!! Well done. If you're using Photomatix as I am, I find the end result needs a bit of boosting in levels to bring the contrast up a bit like this:

I like the post left in - secures the image!

I prefer No 3 without the contrast. It looks more haunting (IMO).

I did think number 3 looked a bit washed out, how does this look, duplicated the layer and set it as an overlay at 35% opacity

Not a fan of HDR, but have seen some spectacular results. I guess it's whether one wants to get close to how it was, or to make it look like it how you felt.

Always a fan of the highlands mind. Some nice roads I've heard. wink

ETA... I do like #2... but the post really needs to go IMHO
