This thing was huge, I had to get up the step ladders to get a shot hehe

There was no processing done on this, or cropping, exactly as taken. Any ideas what camera gear was used?

punch close, 100mm f2.8, 18-55mm kit lens (it's the only other lens I have with 58mm ring frown, time to shop around me thinks) and reversing ring.

Well done for getting the ring though wink

Just had that look of the reversed lens with the extreme light fall of. I find it really tricky to get sharp focus with the reversed lens on anything that is moving, so top work smile

Thanks Chris, it certainly is tricky. I just got the ring delivered tonight and this was the 3rd shot after using it. The live view on the 40D does come in handy!

And here's my wife's finger in the shot for a size comparison.

100mm Macro Lens? With a strobe? Its quite a cool shot.

I was in Sidcup the other day, dropping a car off. I came and went, didnt see much in the middle biggrin.
