Northo is up with half a dozen fast cars, doing the west highland circuit and staying in the local hotel. I popped over for a beer and had a quick look at the Spyker. My God is it stunning inside...

...and on another track - I thought the Aston was loud - the Spyker is BONKERS!

Nice shots - I was never a fan of the Spyker until I saw the Rio one in the flesh, absolutely beautiful. The detailing, both interior and exterior, is stunning.

One of these?

Can't comment on the noise but I can say that it is a revolting looking car!

Agreed. Now the Lambo, that's a winner. Never fancied?

I've always found Lambos to be a bit fugly. I like curves, not angles. They also sounded a bit like wasps as they passed me, unlike the Astons and the Spyker (which I'm sure has a Merlin 5 under the lid)

Actually not big on Italian anything (except the food).

I've always like the Jules Verne/HG Wells Victorian sci-fi interior of the Spyker.

Sacrelidge!

I suppose there is no track near you to justify another 7?

yes It's bonkers over the top, it's great. Quilt and shiny metal everywhere. Love the way the gear linkage is outside rather than buried in a transmission tunnel too biggrin

I think that one was bought from Broughton's in Pangbourne? Which would make it the same one I photographed a couple of years ago.

ETA - no it isn't. Just spied the black quilting in the top pic - the one I shot was a light brown, almost beige.

I drove that car at RAF Leuchars and was not very impressed, the floor hinged pedals were a pain, the brakes were a bit pants, the build quality was rubbish in some places but superb in others and it felt slow compared to the other cars.

As you know, I have my own track (the 43 mile Circuit de Applecross), and have been thinking of another 7. It's the only car I regret selling.

...seriously though, no tracks here and a bugger of a long drive to get to Knockhill. (Quicker from London)

This is an ugly bugger too (curves or no curves)

I quite like that purely for it's bold, non conformist look.

New R500 Superlight out.....

I guess you'd put the 6 between the U and the L?
