Been done to death I'm sure but, if not a virgin, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to TVs
Need to buy a large (circa 42" I'd guess), wall mounted TV.
Read a Plasma vs LCD guide but it was pretty inclusive to be honest.
Anyone got strong views that they want to share.
I'm not an AV anorack by the way, won't be plugging in extra home cinema etc, just want the best picture and sound for my money in the basis TV package
Welcome any thoughts.

I'd contact Derestrictor - he runs Digital Direct - they supply TV's and should be able to help
I am led to believe that Plotloss does something with TV's as well
(Though may be a bit "bespoke" for your requirements.
Other than that it comes down to your budget and that you are happy with the picture.
HTH (not that I have probably
)

Ouch, ask for help then insult half the people you are asking
When I was in the market I contacted derestrictor, he not only advised me on the best fit for my requirements but also did me a deal on the screen as well, can't recommend highly enough.
Digital Direct is the company and they are consistently the cheapest almost across the whole range of products they sell.
Of course you can get a 50" now for the same price I paid for a 32", but you can't put a value on 3 years of plasma goodness!
