I am using a D80 at the moment. I have the normal 18 to 135 kit that came with it and also the Nikon 70 - 300 and sigma wideangle one

I am taking close up pictures of jewellery. Mainly rings. I am trying to get the ring in focus and the stamp on the ring. Problem is my lens just ain't doing the job. So I am thinking of buying a macro lens.

Can anyone give me any advice on what would be best? Also I am taking the pictures in a light box.

Thanks guys

Theres a range of lenses to get - IMo the cheapest entry one worth it is the tamron 90mm f2.8 macro, get a tripod, build a ligth tent and away you go.
