Very nice pictures!

A lot of photographers are quite precious about showing pictures of their rig, it's not something I ever understood really.

Scroll down to the SM8 Kit or the SM11 - I reckon both of those will do the business.

You'd be surprised how stable they are... plus, shots are generally taken at about 1 mph!

i had one,

wasn't that keen on it to be honest. pain in the arse to photoshop out you see.

a better design is one that mounts underneath the car or on top. has it's drawbacks but : http://www.automotiverigs.com/gallery.html

Like the look of those kits. looks like something i could have made up though. know people who would easily be able to produce something along those lines.

Well I'm no 'rig-meister' but we got round it by taking a static shot with no rig as well as the moving shot.... so the only thing that needed to be 'shopped' out was the remaining rig over the road. (And when I say we, I mean Matt did all the work!)

I've heard nothing but bad things about those automotive rigs - specifically that there are major issues with securing them to the bottom of a lot of cars.

At least with suction cups you have lots of options.

You need to get the camera higher Ian. Are you using proper suction cups or ones for picking up glass.
