Did you miss me?

Just got back today from a little tour of NW America over the past few weeks and had a fantastic time.
We started in NY a couple of Fridays ago and spent a very hot (90+ degrees) and humid weekend pottering about and taking advantage of the exchange rate. One of the cool things we say was a Jeff Koons exhibition on top of the Met which has great views over Central Park.

On the Monday morning we took the Amtrak up to Niagara which was 4 hours late and very slow indeed, no wonder they don't use trains over there! We enjoyed the big comfy seats and nice views though. Just had one night in Niagara which was plenty, the falls are awesome but the rest of the town is like Blackpool.

Tuesday we carried on the train up to Toronto which was great, I think it is the cleanest town we have ever seen. A bit like a cleaner smaller scale New York but you can't really tell you're in Canada and not in the US.

On the Friday we flew back to NY for another couple of nights, fantastic thunder storm on the Saturday night. Then on the Sunday we picked up a hire car to drive over to Boston. We booked a Charger and ended up with a Jeep Liberty. These places never seem to have what you've asked for. Still Sat Nav made it easy to drive the 200 odd miles.
We woke up Monday morning to find our first day of grey weather so did the tour Trolley but I didn't get many photos. Most of the sights centre around screwing over the British LOL, except one...

The next day we decided to explore New England (it's not as good as the old one) a bit and went up to Salem which (witch?) is a great little town. Found this old Mustang running about up which would never get through an MOT over here.

Then we headed up the coast a bit more to Rockport, beautiful part of the world.

We got back into Boston that night, the Celtics won the NBA "World" Championships and for some reason people started smashing up shops like they do over here when we loose something in the football, very strange. We didn't see any of it until the next morning on the news but there was a hell of a racket all night.
Then it was back to NY for the last couple of days and we finished off the holiday by seeing REM at Madison Square Garden which was cool

So now I have about 1200 photos to work my way through which could take a while, I'll stick some up here as I go.

Is the vignetting on some of those pics deliberate, or do you have a lens issue?
Added or left on purpose, I used the 24-105 F4 L for all these. You do get some with the 5D but it is easily removed if you don't want it. I picked up a 17-40 F4 L from B&H while I was away too, the problem is no different.

Finally got a chance to start going through some more holiday photos
These are from a place called Bear Skin Neck near to Rockport, MA. We pulled the jeep up and enjoyed a picnic overlooking the bay.
