Here are a selection of my best pictures from Saturday at Waddington.

I didnt take many of the earlier aircraft mainly due to the bad weather and the fact my hands were frozen!! The sun came out though for 558 and despite a very wet start it turned into a perfect day!!

Anyways here are my pics... Other than 558 my favourite shot of the day is the very last picture here. Pics are in order of aircraft appearance....

I use a Canon 1D MKI with Canon 100-400L series lens and a Canon 1.4x MKII converter.

I would bet a large sum of cash that most people would never know these shots were taken with a 4 million pixel camera hehe

Well, websized it doesnt matter eh!! 1D is still a class act.

Thought it may be a 100-400, so want one of those!

Even at A4 sized you would never tell the difference either!! Quality glass though make s huge difference.

You really wont regret buying the 100-400L.... I've had this particular lens over three years now and i wouldnt sell it for the world.

Just as a note though on a DS series camera its prone to vignetting, as i found out last year with a DSII.

I normally couldn't care less for airshow shots, but I must say all of those are fantastic. Particularly the one highlighted above. I actually said "wow" out loud!

As a seasoned airshow amateur snapper, I'm jealous and impressed in equal measure.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I saw the Lanc and Vulcan together cloud9
