Roll call.

Who's going. I'll be there on the Saturday. Hopefully it'll be sunny and hopefully XH558 will show up smile

Sunday biggrin It's got to be sunny this year!
I've got a pretty good idea what it looks like now, so I am just looking forward to hearing the Vulcan!
Unfortunately my longest lens is off being recalibrated, so I won't be getting too many shots frown

Just to make people aware there have been reports of the car parks being waterlogged, expect a lot of mud so i wouldnt take anything decent!!

Btw i have a spare pair of Sunday tickets if anyone is interested at face price (much cheaper than on the day!)

Sunday is looking to be a much better day weather wise.

You cannot buy tickets on the gate on Saturday, (no news on Sunday as yet, they are saying you SHOULD be able to buy on the gate on Sunday)it was announced only last night.

So beware of total chaos as non-ticket holding members of the public turn up and want to get in!!

It rained a huge amount round here at the weekend, and all of yesterday. It'll be very very muddy unless their drainage is excellent.

IF you are going to RIAT can I recommend you park in Swindon and get the bus?

It will bypass all the traffic, drop you off at the gate and has the advantage of bypassing traffic on the way home. Only downside is the show goes on till late the last bus (used) to stop service around 7 to 7:30

Apparently, (according to BBC Radio Lincolnshire), the Vulcan left Waddington this afternoon, en route to Fairford. BBMF left Coningby about same time - same destination.

Enjoy.

It was an excellent round trip we made!

4 hours to Swindon on the M25 carpark, only to hear on the radio that the air show's been cancelled! furious

Then a 3 hour drive home.

What a great way to spend 7 hours on a friday night! banghead

Farnborough looks like a good alternative next weekend.

Vulcan and B1-B will be up.

F-22 Raptors (the ones I was most looking forward to) cry will be displaying at Farnborough on Monday for those of you who live nearby.
