Here is a selection of my photo's from the weekend. I was there for both days and took about 1000 photo's over the weekend. It wasnt ideal photography weather for most of the weekend but still managed some good shots.....

Enjoy [biggrin]

Nice work sir. It's easy to get average shots at airshows; harder to get good ones. Also good to see an Airacobra there - a chap from my school was unfortunately killed in one - 'ran out of sky'.

My usual Canon 1D but i'm afraid you need to save a few more pennies.... This time was using a Canon 300mm F2.8L with either a 1.4L or 2x converter.....

Camera was set to shutter priority at 1/400th of a sec all day. Normally i'd try and use either 250th or 320th but as i was hand holding what is a very heavy lens i set it just a fraction higher to counteract camera shake, but still blur the props a bit....

not being clued up on lenses, is that a fixed 300mm lense? if so how much do they go for and is it pin sharp?i have the 90-300 lense and it gives soft focus and am looking at something better that won't break the bank but will give pni sharp photos

Yup its a fixed focal length 300mm lens with a fast F2.8 aperture.

To buy the latest IS version of this lens you're looking at paying around the £2700.00 mark. Even for a mint non IS version that i have you're still looking at easily over £1500

Its one of the sharpest lenses you can buy but then you pays for what you get!!
