Could some body please advice me on how to sell my kit?
Discussion
Looking for a bit of advice. I have been lucky enough to win a Canon Eos 450d. This leaves my Nikon d40 and lens' redundant. I'm not looking to flog stuff on here but I have no idea on what a suitable price would be for kit like this second hand.
4 month old Nikon D40 camera along with a 4 month old Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro lens and a Brand new ( only used for one evening this week when I got it.) Nikon AF-s DX 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 G IF-ED. There is also all the original boxes, leads, chargers, software, an extra battery and a Nikon infra red remote.
I think I am doing the right thing by selling this lot and taking over from it with the Canon and adding a lens or two to it.
Any advice on price appreciated.

This reminds me that PH Classifieds still does not have a Photography section. I thought this was going to be attended to? Is Camping Equipment really more popular?
It does have a section:http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=763

I asked the mods to change the link in the sticky at the top of the page but no-one has done it yet

Go on to eBay. Find Nikon D40s for sale. "Watch" about 10 of them. See what price they go for on average. Pretty much that's what you'll get for yours. It's straightforward - eBay isn't hard.
Or if you register on eBay you can search for completed listings and see what they went for - saves the "watching" bit...Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
