What other if any photography forums and websites do you guys (and girls) use? I had a brief look a while ago but the few I looked at weren't that great. I think this one is very good although more limited in the number of people as opposed to a photography only website.
Thanks

As above. I use talkphotography sometimes but get increasingly annoyed at the comments of a few members who do nothing but criticise yet fail to add any content of their own. Granted, criticism is a valid way of improving, but I prefer constructive. I also can't stand one of the blokes avatars! (how's that for shallow!?)

I must say, this little section of our world is the one I find the best, although it is definitely better when threads from the P&P aren't moved here.

That is the other good thing about pistonheads - no avatars and slogans, both of which really annoy me on other websites!

www.photocamel.com

A very fast moving forum, and very USA based.

Edit: There is also this.

Just POTN

Think I signed up to eos-forums but don't remember ever using it. POTN and here are enough for me.

Any photo forums I've belonged to before always seem to be populated by gear wes - who always want to talk about and spend on the latest lens as its BOUND to make their photographs better... yabbering on about lenses and gear in general is far less interesting than taking pictures, surely...!

Nikonians can be handy if you use Nikon - depending on which forum you're in there can be a lot of numpties who simply can't read manuals, but there are a few patrolling anoraks who really know their stuff. Don't expect any PH-style humour though.

www.rangefinderforum.com is pretty good (but, as the name suggests, only if you use a rangefinder).

The Leica User Forum (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/) is also amusing - though mostly for the amount of snobbery it seems to generate...
