Took a family trip up to the lake district and managed to bag a few shots, in between the rain and more rain!

C&C very welcome please!

Stunning shots. I'm off up there myself next weekend, camping out near Ullswater. Can't wait, and after seeing those shots, am looking forward to it even more.

PS. Both framed and unframed look great, but think the framed shots add something extra. wink

Very nice! I especially like 2, and don't think it would have quite the same effect without the frame.

Excellent picures, have you warmed them up a little on PS? What places did you visit and what did you like the most?
I like No 2 and No 6

We just got back from there last night, so will shamefully use your thread to post mine up too save starting another, mine were very disappointing though, we used the P setting all too often and some are very under exposed and some very over exposed, think I need to get the hang of manual again! It's just so time consuming.

Biggest faux pas was missing a red quirrel who we saw yesterday in Derwent, he ran in front of us, up a tree and sat for 10 seconds posing wih a nut in his mouth close enough for me to get a full on picture, by the time I'd got the camera out and ready he was out of sight running away on the forest floor frown

Many thanks for the comments all. I wasn’t sure if the framing works or not, and I’m still not sure! Maybe a bit distracting!

Yes missdiane I did warm them all up and probably overdid it on a few of them, making them look a bit false. We had plenty of rain with a very bright white sky. So I overexposed loads of pics, that’s my excuse anyway. Something I need to work at. Red squirrels - we have loads of the little cheeky things as home. Get yourself over hear and click away.

We had a very nice lodge for the week just outside Windermere at Troutbeck. And didn’t do as much walking as I would have liked due to the poor weather. I definitely recommend the Kirkstone Pass though (A592 - pic #5), a great drive.

Post up ya pics all. smile

Some great pics there. Personally I find those frames a bit too distracting though (found myself looking at the frame rather than the photo), and prefer just a simple black/white surround. A nice effect though nonetheless!

Love no's 2, 8, and 9!

Especially #2 cloud9

Personally, I prefer without frame...
