Disappearing photograph information in Vista

[Platinum]

When I edit (and save) photographs on my new Vista machine with paintshop pro 8; the 'date taken' information vanishes from Windows explorer. The images can still be sorted by date taken as this data remains in the EXIF.

Is there a reason why this is happening and can I prevent it?

Thanks.
