Hi,

Although I love my action photography ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/jon-/sets/72157600267... ) this is a request. I've recently bought a Daytona 675 in a lovely yellow and i think some moving shots through hatfield tunnel would look a treat.

Unfortunately I obviously can't ride the thing AND take photos so I was wondering if there was anyone in the area that fancied the challenge of some moving shots.

This is the bike:

I'm available whenever, could be a fun project.

Edited to add I've a matching blue (??) race suit so the style of the rider will look the part too...

The photographer that PM'd me to join me on this project has gone AWOL so if there's anyone else about that fancys a laugh there's still a few more weeks until my bike goes to bed for winter...

Shots will look great.

Jon,

Invest in a manfrotto magic arm and a few superclamps, you should be able to then clamp the camera to the bike and shoot, could make for some interesting shots!

If I was in the area, I'd love to have a bash!

Cheers

+1 to deans comment

wouldnt cost much to get a suction cup and magic arm then you can do it yourself when ever you like...

seen a few shots done this way and they do come out well.

then when you get used to it on the bike buy two more suction cups and some ally pole and stick it to the beemer..

and of course show us the pics. yeah

Regards

I'd imagine without a super wide angle (which i don't own) the length of arm needed would make riding a motorbike quite dangerous.

Well, I'd quite like a go at photographing some moving stuff. Am just down west of Wattyford, so not a million miles away. Just not got around to trying this sort of stuff in any serious way. Sounds like we need to kit you up with the right gear or get me and find a driver wink

As for super wide angle - what about a fisheye? If you happen to be a Nikon DX shooter, I've a 10.5mm sitting in the bag here........

Ive never used a Magic arm but i would imagine that the reach would be enough to get most of you in at 17mm on a kit lense?

I have seen Rigshoots done with 2 suction cups and 2x metre long ally poles that didnt look that dangerous remember your only riding at about 5mph if not less.

I'd love to have a bash but im in the midlands sorry.

Thanks - the original photographer has come back to life (email issues) so we're hopefully back on. Still, if you want to do anything like this let me know.

I think riding at 5pm through Hatfield tunnel (a1m) would be more dangerous than all the crap hanging off the bike! I think i'll stick to chase car this time!

hehe

5mph at 5pm = Yellow bike, blue leathers and some (well quite a lot of) red smudging, I reckon!!!!

How about at 5AM? What's it like then?
