Roger, yep I do. Bought it for travelling light on holiday and I have to say its been great (eeepc 900). Prior to this I had a Epson P4000, which is ok, allows you to backup images etc and allows you to look at them, screens very good but a bit small. I think these are great for the odd day out, but I was going to canada for a month and I'd previously been around asia for a while too. I knew I wasn't going to have power issues so I could afford not to worry too much about battery life. I also wanted email and internet access on the move. There's no disk space as such so I took couple of USB drives (could have gotten away with one but I'm paranoid). The hard disks and eeepc were much less than half the size of my laptop and porbably a third of the weight. So for £200 (I already had the usb drives) I don't think you can go wrong

Are these capable of running Photoshop / raw image converter so you can just do some basic editing?

They can run XP so I would have thought so.

Yes, perfectly capable, but the 7" screen version is rather tight for space, better of with a 9 or 10" version, though I would stick with the SSD rather than the hard drive as the toughness is definately a big part of the attraction.

Best option is probably the 901 with linux, as this has the biggest SSD (20Gb) and put on your own copy of XP.

They are great little bits of kit, but a little limited. Ours suits us fine for email and internet access in the lounge.

By the sound of it, the downsides for you would be:
o) battery life isn't all that. Realistically, 3 hours.
o) the screen is rather small for 'images'.
o) it runs Linux by default, so you might not have easy access to the software you want. They can be made to run XP, but that might be a pain depending on how techie you are/want to be. You'd have to buy a copy, for starters.
