Anyone had a decent results shooting with M42's on a Canon / Nikon DSLR ?

Just thinking it might be fun to play around and there seems to be plenty of glass on ebay at handy money.

I have a couple on my Sigma SD14, for really cheap fun I would suggest looking at:

Pentacon 50mm f1.8 MC (mine was a fiver)
Pentacon 135mm f2.8 (under a tenner)
Pentacon 200mm f4 (again under a tenner)

I would suggest going for the older pre-set aperture type lenses, IMHO they are far easier to use when you are reduced to full manual operation anyway, plus the apertures are usually immune to oil problems that affect the spring loaded automatic types.
