Lighting equipment?
Discussion
I haven't posted on here in a while, so you'll have to excuse this return post involving a question, but...
Do any of you use lighting equipment to illuminate the car you are shooting? I've seen the pros use lighting tripods etc, but haven't a clue how much they are, where to get them from, etc?
Anyone?
Thanks in advance

That's a very big question. You can take perfectly good pictures without any special equipment, but the pro's use a lot of equipment and have a lot of special techniques. Try photographing the car with a very uncomplicated background, something which won't draw attention from the lines of the car, and choose an overcast day (diffuse light) - definitely not strong sunlight.Do any of you use lighting equipment to illuminate the car you are shooting? This thread is a good place to start learning what's involved:

PS: I use Elinchrom flash, not cheap but excellent quality. I would avoid anything that's only a couple of hundred pounds, if you're going to do it then do it right...
