I know this is very (make that very very) late and people are booking for this time next year already, but it looks like we might be in need of a wedding photographer for our wedding on the 8th of November 2008, in Northampton.

Looking through the previous threads, there seem to be quite a lot of good recommendations, who I will be contacting shortly. If anyone has any other recommendations or comments/availability on the below list, I would be very grateful if you could let me know on here or via PM please.

From previous threads:

shout Bloke - where are you?

If you like Simpo Two's style ("Bloke") - then you just need to know if he's available. Job's a good un!

you could try Hazel Thompson, but would imagine that she is booked up. She is normally booked up for about 18 months in advance, or she will be out of the country doing some photojournalist thing.

Thanks for letting me know so quickly John, unfortunately at this stage I think availability is going to be a big problem.

Thanks Dan, had a look at her website and must admit I liked the wedding photos a lot.

Thanks for the recommendation Sacha, their website seems to be down, but I will check again later. Italy - great choice!

My daughter is a photographer and completed her degree this year.

She is setting up her own business and would travel, if of any interest to you.

She is free that date, at the moment.

Just email me if you want her details.

Thanks to everyone for their posts and PMs, we are pretty sure we've found a photographer now and we're moving back to BrideCon 5. I guess not getting married in the summer does have it's advantages.

I have seen some seriously impressive photos on the various websites that were recommended and on some of the threads here, and might have to pop into this forum a bit more often!

David, thank you for your kind offer and I wish your daughter the best of luck with her new business.

Have you managed to find anyone?

I can recommend Kim Whitewood (Buttercup Photography Studios) based in Bovingdon who did our wedding back in July.

Pictures are here
