I'm wanting to remove the people from one photo and generally make the picture "look" better but I'm unsure how to do it.

Can some one point me in teh right direction?

I made the people disappear, not edited anything else though.

Photobucket has resized it so I'll get the full sized up in a few minutes.....hopefully

Thanks for it.

Now, is it just a case of cutting the folk out and replacing the hole with sea and sand?

I only selected the "Remove People" tool, not sure what went wrong getmecoat

onlynik, use the clone tool in photoshop (press S on your keyboard), press & hold the Alt key (you'll see a crosshair). Left click on a place next to the people, let go Alt then brush over them wink

I'm intrigued in what you did?

Just so I can make the changes myself? I've got GIMP and not Photoshop.

if your interested in persuing it, local colleges are running first steps to digital imaging, 60 quid for the night course which lasts 7 weeks, once a week ... after months of peeing around with photoshop I started a course 4 weeks ago and it feels nice not to be fumbling around eventually getting the correct results!

I pretty much spend all my time doing photoshop for work, so if anyone needs any hints/tips/help etc or needs any photos adjusting then just drop me a line!
