Not me... but a climber friend of mine up here... this is what I just got in an e mail - and to be honest, I'm not sure what to respond.

Someone from an independent film company is considering using some of my photos in a feature to be shown on BBC.
The images that are in question are all of a similar size,
viz. 1600 X 1200 and typically 650kb.
They are shots of the Skye Ridge and some of them have been taken
from quite 'extreme' locations.

...any thoughts? TIA

Steve

ETA - If this were music it would be easy, a phone call to the MU or PRS and you'd get free advice. I assume the NUJ would be useless? - and is there a specific union for commercial photographers?

They can always just offer to the supply the images "at the film company's standard rates"; perhaps with an additional premium to reflect the "extreme" nature, and see what they respond. This can sometimes produce a sensible starting point.
