Nigel Harniman I think - http://www.harniman.com/

The light trails are done by someone legging it along holding a flourescent tube.

You can hire (the one that N Harniman uses) for a day rate. It isn't cheap, as you'll have to pay for the team as well.

Can't seem to find the link at the mo.

In the picture 3 there seems to be a pulley............is the car being winched along slowly instead of being driven. I suppose this means they can get a much more even tracking speed?

Why do the skylights right at the top of this shot appear not to be blurred? Looks slightly strange to me.

One shot taken static so that it's easier to remove the rig from the moving shot - then when both are combined they obviously left the static skylight in place...

Are you sure its not just a case of things that are closer to the camera appear to have more movement becuase there relative size and scale in the frame camera, although the movement is the same for back ground objects because they are futher away the movement is less obvious. This only would apply to objects traveling a straight linear fashion it would not apply to objects traveling around corners where the rotational pivot of the turning circle cause the all of the backgroud to blur in a fairground fashion.

amazing shots there.

anyone know a uk company that can hire rigs like this? I do some automotive filming, and might be a useful contact to have.

Actually I think Baz is right, look at the next set of windows, not far removed from the top set but still showing plenty of blurring.

I'm not a massive fan of car photography but Nigel's work is stunning. His other subject matter isn't bad either wink

So are there 3 frames combined there? Static, light trails & rolling car?
