Has anybody bought from the canon outlet on ebay?
Discussion
Yes and the camera was faulty (focusing and battery problem, not fixed after 1st attempt). The took the camera back even after the period of grace with a full credit with no fuss but I didn't buy from them again as I had by then bought elsewhere.
I would however buy again as and when I needed some kit assuming the price is right.

Bought an ip6600D printer about 2 years ago. No problems. Looked completely new other than slight packaging damage. Paid marginally more than the cost of a full set of inks.
Bought a 400D about 16 months ago. Same story. No problems. In fact I had come second on the bid but they offered a 'runner up' deal for the price I had bid - which was at the low end of the winning bids at the time.
Bought an Ixus 70 last December. It started playing up about 3 months later having had hardly any use. Canon said to send to one of the official service agents under warranty. Took it to Lehmann's in Stoke in Trent one Friday (not too far from me). Got a phone call the next Monday PM to say it was fixed. Asked them to post it to me which they did, arriving on the Wednesday. All covered by warranty with no problem.
Good delivery on all of them. The payment system for the first deal was a pain for reasons I can't recall but they were very helpful and it all worked out well.
So no complaints from me - other than people seem to be bidding more than I think they should for the 1Ds III's that have been going through there recently!

I've been watching a few 400d's and they all seem to be going for between 240 and 260 which is good for me. The warranty sweetens me up a bit as it's good for the piece of mind. Also nice to know all problems were sorted quickly too. I wonder why there aren't any 450's on there though as this is the model i'd prefer.

Thanks Bloody hell are those 1DS III's seem to be rather high...

They are for my budget but given the list price of the things and assuming that what you get is refurbed (and guaranteed) to be like new, most recent prices (under 3k last time I checked, often quite a bit under) seemed reasonable given that the 1Ds list price is close to £5k.Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
