Photoshop Question

I have Photoshop Elements (2) on my PC and want to change the colours on a photograph I have, is it an easy thing to do - I have tried everything I can but cannot do it

The photograph is of a kit car I am buying and it would be nice to see if the colour combination I have chosen actually looks any good!

not sure in elements two but a quick easy way is to mask an area out, add a new hue/saturation layer, set to colorize and set the color. Repeat for each new area
