I know the lighting and set up is not right at the moment but thought some of you might like a look at some of my first Hi speed photo's.

Got to thank my brother for making the sound trigger and helping the the picture's smile

Roll on next weekend.......

Interesting stuff - I tried breaking a CD once and was lucky not to lose an eye... was finding shrapnel all round the room for ages!

Powder on the outside. The water ones we put about a table spoon of water inside of the balloon.

Details on the sound trigger are here.

I will put a pic of the one we made tomorrow.

Great pics, and a good project. I look forward to seeing more when you've worked with the lighting a bit more.

Ref the CD... Have a look on YouTube for the videos of a CD attached to a dremel.

That's intrigued me - a bit of Googling shows that you can build one from Maplin bits for 10-15 quid. I know where I'm off to tomorrow biggrin

(keep an eye on the papers for "Flat fire in Edinburgh" - it's been about 17 years since I soldered anything biggrin)

Yeah mine cost about £10 to build.
Its strange when you first use it as the first thing you will do is clap next to the mic and the flash fires a spit second before you hear the clap.
