Just wondering if you guys enjoy any other creative endeavours or is it just photography?

I've always thought people who are interested in one form tend to indulge in a few others, so thought it might be interesting to see what else people get upto (or would like to!): I know GitC*nter is also a composer, Nick has got some flair for interior design, and if I remember correctly Simpo made what looks like a pretty complicated model ship? Thought it might be fun to post up any examples of stuff that you are working on.

I've been learning the guitar this year and trying to re learn how to play the piano and have really enjoyed working on getting the interior of my new place sorted. I'd quite like to do some writing next year!

Matt

I like to dabble in interior design, and make my own furniture (used to be a joiner/chippy). Now work as a Web Designer, and occasional graphic design jobs also.

Photography is good fun though wink

Yes, I think so. In fact, I should probably come over for a roast again soon... smile

I dabble a bit on the side in web design but I'm not sure you can call that creative, funds my technology habits though. I also brew beer but again, it's stretching the definition of creative. Good fun testing out the results though!

I like being creative with cooking and I'm about to start card making with my photos as the theme smile

(I've just read over that and I sound quite feminine...)

I play guitar with the same vigor I take pictures and about the same level of talent (ie very little).

I also make my family and unlucky family and friends birthday and christmas cards which usually involve the butchery of a perfectly good picture, although this year I'm trying to do a studio shot (which I will then butcher).

My day job is technology consultancy which leads me to be very creative..

Love it though and thats what matters.

Bit of a theme emerging here; I like a bit of cooking too, wouldn't say I was Gordon Ramsay but I can certainly cook without a recipe book and come up with edible creations!

i've just (this week!) started getting into painting....on the computer (can't be arsed with expensive supplies, messy paints etc) but maybe will take it onto a proper canvas if it holds my attention for long enough.

used some of my photos for reference, quite happy with the first attempts but need to experiment a lot more before i find the style i'm looking for.

I work in research on materials so I am paid to think up new, and somtimes stupid, ideas.
So I think this counts as being creative, but in a systematic way rather than a crazy LSD kind of way.

I play guitar and released a couple of CD's in the dim and distant past (Our old drummer is still going strong and his band is currently on tour with Marillion... yes they're still going!!!) Current job is design based (web and print) and so we have to buy lots of expensive photographic equipment for product shots wink

I bumble about on bass guitar, do a bit of calligraphy (examples here) and I used to paint warhammer models before my close vision started getting a bit iffy (never played it, though).
