I've not used any online print service before and my daughter is just about to take advantage of their 70 small free prints for first timers.
She has 70 images to upload (about 180 meg).
(Does she have to upload each file one at a time or can she start uploading the one folder containing all the images and then go to bed? (Our broadband upload speed is pretty slow!)
Thanks.

their uploader (a little java app which loads in your browser if I recall) allows you to upload a whole folder's worth in one go.

You can also FTP them up if you know about FTP.

yep... tis easy, just 'add photos' and select all and drag into the upload screen and then press 'upload now'. Don't change screens whilst it's doing it mind, as you may well stop the process. Drink tea or go to pub!

^^ Wot he said. yes

I'd also recommend she chooses her time of day wisely! I tried to get in there about this time last night to view my Creations hehe and I could barely get onto the site. But I spent the morning uploading a folderful of images (71 of them) with no traffic problems at all.

They've got some interesting offers on there at the moment, well worth a spot of Christmas shopping. smile

Thanks all!! The One folder containg all 70 files sounds the simplest, I will tell her to try it late because of the traffic problems mentioned and then go to bed.

She's gathered them together from friends and I suspect that their images will be of slightly differing formats, so if she chooses 6x4 or 6 x 4.5, which might crop the least worst?

Slightly off-the-wall suggestion but useful if you like to put your photos on Flickr - use the Flickr Uploadr to upload them all in one batch to Flickr, then connect your Photobox account to your FLickr account and it will drag them over for you.

+1

And even if you don't have a Flickr account, you could probably create one and upload your photos to it before moving them over to Photobox faster than Photobox will upload them anyway! Flickr always seems so much faster.

She uploaded very late last night (it took about 1h. 15mins) but when she came to order they said that because of the busy period
the 'Print Options' box was greyed out. She ordered anyway and hopes that the prints will arrive tomorrow.
