Hello peeps, can I ask your advice on what you would consider a good camera for my wife? Must be point and click and compact sized. I'm afraid the digital camera market moves so quickly that I can't keep up with it. It's all credit card sized, umpteen million pixels, anti shake technology these days. rolleyes Any suggestions gratefully received! Oh and around £150 I guess?
Thanks Rich... smile

Personally? Not really, other than that I have a Canon Ixus camera (quite an old one) and I think it's good. Canon are quite a 'safe' make to go with, but I'm sure lots of other makes are good too.

I bought my OH the new Sony Cybershot, she saw it one of her girlie fashion mags tagged as the "must have handbag accessory" or some other such nonsense... went to have a look at it in a shop and found it to be quite a nifty bit of kit. Comes in different colours too which is always a bonus where women are concerned.

A quick google and I found a place that did it for £169 vs £220 in the sony centre..

If you have a description of your wife, I'll consider making an offer.

ETA: I've just re-read the title of this thread and I think I may have misinterpreted it; I thought you were offering to trade your wife for a decent camera! getmecoat
