Can someone explain, or point me in the direction of somewhere that does, how tilt-shifting ends up making a normal photo look like you've taken a photo of a model?

Check out the videos here: http://www.vimeo.com/1785993

This guy does time-lapse photography videos using tilt-shift and they are very cool.

Must get one for the 5D2 and shoot some movies with it. Too busy playing with the Sigma 12-24 that I got today though... cloud9

I must say...i do quite like that effect...must have a play around in photoshop later.

Here's a couple of tutorials if, like me, you can't afford a tilt-shift lens wink :-
