Posted one of these yesterday in the random thread... thought these were up for a thread of themselves:

3 days of hard frost, then fog and sun. Spendid work God. (Or was it J.K.Rowling?)

As always with my annoying 970 wide... click to unsquash the landscape ones.

ETA - they are all full colour - no desaturation.

Brilliant shots! Looks a bit chilly up there!
Out of curiousity (dodgy spelling i Know) have you ever posted/taken a bad photo?

Thanks... right place, right time.

Here are a couple more... not as good, but you did ask! Unfortunately I didn't have much time as I was on my way to the airport... these were all taken from the road.

About 99% are crap. I just take shed loads.

Yep... that's full colour. -6.5 at midday (according to the car).

Beautiful photos and scenery!!! I guess views like those make the cold weather a bit more bearable... smile

Thinking of petrification, I found this photo from my recent trip to Namibia. The Petrified Forest contains about 50 fossilised tree trunks.
250 million years, floods, silica and no oxygen.

Wacky stuff.

By the way... you've been lurking a bit of a while before your first post!

Welcome - They are a friendly bunch in here. Just avoid the Pie and Piston! (Unless you have very thick skin).

Awesome shots as always Steve, pretty cold over here at the moment too - plenty of these buggers found on the way to Luxembourg earlier in the week...

Even came across a UK reg'd BMW that obviously didn't have winter tyres on trying to scramble his way up a hill, which our wee 1.2 Corsa made short work of smile
