I have a 400D and a basic Jessops flash I got with the camera. Neither has a 'PC' port for flash sync cable.

What are my options?

Ideally I'd like a wireless thing that plugs into my camera hotshoe, and another wireless thing that plugs into the bottom of the flash (also needs to be threaded for mounting to a tripod).

Either that or something that goes on the bottom of the flash gun and triggers when the on camera flash goes off. (I.e. it detects the flash of light).

Reccomend me some cheap solutions? (ebay is good!)

Thanks for replying. I'd like something wireless, though, as I want to take photos without restriction on the distance between the camera and the flashgun.

These are the "poverty wizard" ebay triggers: (this one has 2 receivers, you can get the "PT-04" kits with just one receiver if you want)

On the whole they seem to be OK and lots of people say you get what you pay for with these things, not sure what your budget. There are a few other options that are more expensive and with a better range. From reading on the internet these are supposedly more reliable than the ones above but on the other hand some people have these and they are faultless.
In terms of my experience with them, not the best so far as the transmitter does not appear to work but seller has been good and a new transmitter is on the way, so hopefully all will be well then.

Cheers. They look good. Anyone else want to chip in?
