Where to find good macro subjects near Surrey?

I'm picking up a Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro later today, and want to have some fun with it.

Given that we're in the middle of winter, there's not exactly a wealth of flora and fauna on display in my back garden, so where would people suggest I go?

I'm going to head off to see the butterflies at RHS Wisley but just wondered if anyone has any other suggestions for places open at this time of year with insects, tropical flowers, reptiles and the like?

Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, SW London.... All good!
